A pediatric nurse practitioner is a registered nurse (RN) and nurse practitioner with superior and highly developed training in pediatrics and can supply nursing care to newborn babies, children and adolescents. The pediatric nurses perform physical and fitness exams diagnose injuries and many general illnesses and have the training to give the treatment procedures, remedies and medication necessary for the infant.
